RIP to foods that are dangerous to your dog

Published by tommi91 at 6:15 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

We all know that chocolate is very bad for our dogs, but did you know that these following food items are just as bad for your dog?  Do your dog and yourself a favor and read the following items to help your best friend live a long and healthy life!

Raw fish - Uncooked fish contain microogranisms that are very deadly to your dog!  These microogranisms do not seem to damage humans or other animals.

Raisins and grapes - These both cause kidney failure in the K9.

Onions - Onions destroy red blood cells.

Chocolate - Chocolate is known to cause dogs to go into comas, seizures, and finally death.  Avoid this food at all cost!

Coffee grounds, coffee, tea and/or tea bags - Caffinated drinks tend to cause the same symptoms as chocolate.

Macadamia nuts - Cause weakness and muscle tremors.  Sometimes even paralysis.

Cherries, apples, and other fruits related - The seeds in these fruits contain cyanide.   This is very dangerous for both humans and dogs, but more dangerous to dogs because they don’t realize when to quit eating.

Raw eggs - Can cause Salmonella.

Tomatoes - Can cause heart arrhythmias.

It may be a good idea to keep this list of food handy and to pass it along to your other dog-owning friends.  This could help keep them around a little longer, which means more walks, fetch, and so on.  =)
